Start with the part of your coaching business that needs help: delivering lessons, booking sessions or following up with inquiries.
Should you keep Kajabi, connect tools or migrate?
Choose the smallest change that fixes the problem you can actually name.
- Keep your current setup. If lessons, bookings and follow-up work, write down the specific gap before replacing anything.
- Connect one missing step. Keep working course delivery and connect the inquiry or booking process. Decide which system owns each message and payment.
- Scope a migration. List content, student access, recurring payments and integrations. Test one complete student journey before moving everyone.

Kajabi vs GoHighLevel for coaches: what changes?
The useful comparison is your client journey: an inquiry arrives, you respond, someone books, they pay, and they get access to your program. Try that sequence in each platform rather than choosing by the number of features.
Kajabi's coaching tools include scheduling, a client dashboard and automated reminders. GoHighLevel combines booking with sales pipelines and messaging. Kajabi also supports automated email follow-ups around coaching programs. Those workflows overlap; the question is which one handles your actual handoffs with less friction.
| The job | Kajabi | GoHighLevel |
|---|---|---|
| Courses | Courses, coaching products and communities. | Courses and communities alongside the client workspace. |
| Community | Check your plan and any branded-app requirements. | Test the member experience against your needs. |
| Funnels and email | Landing pages, funnels and marketing email. | Funnels and workflow automation; messaging usage costs extra. |
| Booking and calendars | Session scheduling, confirmations and reminders. | Booking calendars connected to client workflows. |
| SMS follow-up | Check your required SMS workflow and integrations. | SMS is available with usage charges. |
| CRM and pipeline | Client records and program management. | CRM with sales pipelines and stages. |
| Contacts | Basic: 2,500. Growth: 25,000. Pro: 100,000. | Unlimited contacts on the listed plans. |
What do Kajabi and GoHighLevel cost in 2026?
On monthly billing, Kajabi Basic is US$179/month and GoHighLevel Starter is US$97/month. Your final bill also depends on usage, add-ons and payment fees. Implementation work is separate from the software subscription.
Kajabi lists Basic at $179, Growth at $249 and Pro at $499 monthly. Annual billing works out to $143, $199 and $399 per month, paid annually. Product limits are 5, 50 and unlimited respectively.
GoHighLevel lists Starter at $97, Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497 monthly. Contacts and users are unlimited on these plans. Phone, email, SMS and some AI features carry additional charges.
Payment choice can change the total. Kajabi lists a separate third-party payment provider fee in eligible regions when you choose an applicable external processor; PayPal and Kajabi Payments are excluded from that particular fee. Processing charges still apply. Check the current rates for your country and provider rather than treating either subscription as the whole checkout cost.
When should you keep Kajabi?
Stay when the current program works and the problem is elsewhere. A slow response to inquiries might need a better follow-up process, not a new course platform.
- Your students can already find what they need. Test a lesson, coaching session and mobile view before rebuilding their access.
- Your community is active. Test how a move would affect members before changing the place they meet.
- The missing step is small. Fix a reminder, form or handoff before committing to a full migration.
When does GoHighLevel make sense instead?
Consider it when the recurring problem is on the client side: inquiries scattered across tools, nobody knowing who needs a reply, or follow-up depending on your memory. Map those gaps to a pipeline and a specific workflow before buying anything.
- You need visible sales stages. See who inquired, who booked and who still needs a response.
- You want connected follow-up. Test booking, messages and the next action together, including the ongoing usage cost.
- You are consolidating tools. Check what can actually be replaced in our guide to combining scheduling, email and funnels.

Three checks before you switch platforms
- Run one complete client journey. Try an inquiry, booking, payment and student login using a test record. List every manual handoff.
- Inventory what has to move. Include lessons, media, access rules, contacts, payments and integrations. Check export options before assuming anything transfers automatically.
- Write down the cost and owner of each step. Include the old subscription during the transition. Keep the existing system until you have checked the replacement.
FAQ
Is GoHighLevel a good Kajabi alternative?
It can be when you need a sales pipeline, SMS follow-up and booking in one workspace. If your course and community already work well in Kajabi, switching just for a lower base price may create more work than it saves. Test your essential workflows first.
Is GoHighLevel's course feature as good as Kajabi's?
Both offer courses. Compare them using a sample lesson, a student login and your actual requirements: navigation, access, mobile experience and community. A feature list cannot tell you which experience your students will prefer.
Is Kajabi more expensive than GoHighLevel?
Its entry subscription is higher: US$179/month for Kajabi Basic versus US$97/month for GoHighLevel Starter on monthly billing. Include messaging usage, add-ons, payment processing, any applicable third-party provider fee, implementation and the tools you would retain before comparing total costs.
Can I run both Kajabi and GoHighLevel?
Yes, you can keep course delivery in Kajabi and use GoHighLevel for your sales workflow. Decide which system owns each contact, payment and follow-up before connecting them. Otherwise two subscriptions can become two competing versions of the same client record.
How hard is migrating courses from Kajabi?
Treat migration as a separate project. Inventory lessons, media, access rules, payments and student records; check what can be exported and what needs rebuilding. Test a complete student journey before moving everyone or cancelling the old platform.
Can Bloomwired help me choose or migrate?
Yes. The Setup Check reviews your existing tools and the steps between an inquiry and a booked client. We can recommend keeping Kajabi, changing the client workflow, or scoping a migration. Any paid build is quoted separately before work starts.
